He was the son of the late John Robert Mayne, Sr., and Willa Butler Mayne and was preceded in death by his brother, David Mayne.
John worked as a piping superintendent and was involved in numerous large construction projects including several dams and the building of the Toyota Camry Plant.
After retirement, John worked as a TSA Agent in Abilene, Texas.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include his three children, Anthony Robert Mayne (Miltholady) of Denver, CO, Troy Steven Mayne (Connie), of Hixson, TN, Tracie Mayne, of Red Bank, TN, eight grandchildren, Alison, Abby, Amy, Melanie, Steven, Madison, Sydney, Karly, sister, Pamela Mayne, brother, Michael Mayne, both of Bountiful, UT, and several nieces and nephews.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
