John Oliver Jones passed away August 16, 2018. Born in Harriman, TN on December 5, 1949 to Hal & Margaret Jones. John received a B.S. degree in finance from ETSU and a MBA from UTC. He was a real estate appraiser for 30 years. A member of Fairview UMC for the past five years and Signal Crest UMC for thirty years before that. As an avid sports enthusiast, John coached many of his children’s teams and was a member of Rivermont and Signal Mtn Golf and Country Club. He loved his family, friends, reading, & music (“only two kinds – Country & Western”).
He is survived by his wife, Jamey, of nearly 44 years; daughter Erin (Keith) Wainwright; sons, Justin (Heather) Jones and Will Jones. John also leaves five grandchildren, Mallory and Parker Wainwright; Jemma Jones; Kate and Will Chambers.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on August 26th from 2-4 pm at North Chapel Chattanooga Funeral Home with a memorial service following.
