Jason was born in Dayton, grew up there before moving to Cleveland, Tennessee. He was a graduate of Bradley Central High School. After graduation Jason joined the Army and served his term before joining the Air Force. He served our country with pride in Bosnia, Korea, Iraq and was honorably discharged in 2007. Jason was a member of East Side Church of Christ in Cleveland.
Jason was preceded in death by his grandmother, Helen Hood.
He is survived by his mother, Deborah Griswold; three sisters, Kelli, Karla and Lori Hood; nephews and nieces, Austin Suttles, Ashley Suttles, Avery Haykel and Riley Moore; uncles, Franklin Hood, and Ronnie Hood and wife, Virginia; aunt, Joy Casteel and husband, Larry; five cousins, Jennifer Patronilha, Amy Kassen, Ryan Hood, Kaci Hood and Chris Smith; and best friend, Kyle Holden;
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 pm on Monday at the North Chapel.
Graveside services for Jason with full military honors will be held at 12 (noon) on Tuesday at National Cemetery with Minister Bill Maynard officiating.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist.
