Jason Michael Gipson, 45, of Chattanooga went to his heavenly home on Friday, June 18, 2021. Jason was a 1995 graduate of Pike County Central High School in Pike County Kentucky. He served in the United States Air Force. After leaving the air force, he worked as a Transportation Security Officer at the Raleigh Durham International Airport in Raleigh, North Carolina. After leaving North Carolina, he spent 14 years working several jobs in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Alabama, before his diabetic illness became severe enough to prevent him from working. Jason loved his family, especially his mother Kathy, who was his best friend.
He is survived by his mother Kathy Ilene Trotter Thomas (Dave) of Chattanooga, father, Michael Anthony Gipson (Joy) of Price, Utah. He is also survived by one son, Noah Chase Gipson of California and his paternal grandmother Joyce Gipson of Monteagle, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joshua Kane Gipson.
A special celebration of life will be held 2:00 Wednesday, June 23 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home rom 10-2 Wednesday.
