James R. “Ronnie” Head, 75, of Chattanooga went to be with his Lord in heaven, Wednesday, November 16, 2022. He was preceded in death by a son, Allen Head, father, James Lee Head, and mother, Carolyn Brooks.
He served his country 4 years in the US Navy. He worked many years at the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant. Mr. Head retired from TVA after 25 years of service. After his retirement, he discovered he had a gift for painting. Painting brought joy to himself and well as many others. Mr. Head spent many happy hours painting. He enjoyed traveling and fishing. His greatest love was his family; he loved caring and providing for them. He took family on many special trips, to Washington, New York City and going out west.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Veronica Head, children, Michelle Leigh Combs and Christy Havlish, grandchildren, Nicholas Jamison Combs, Tyler Jeffery Wilmoth, and Stella Havlish, great grandson, Atlas Tomouki Wilmoth, sister, Patricia Lindsey, brother, Mark Madison Head, aunt, Hilda Hayworth, several aunts and cousins.
Funeral services will be 1:00 Wednesday, November 23, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 Tuesday evening.
