James A. Freeman, 77, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, of Hixson went to be with his Lord Monday, October 7, 2019. He was a born again Christian, who loved to share his faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Ruth Freeman; and a grandson Austin Blackwell.
Mr. Freeman was a member of Dallas Bay Baptist Church. He was a DuPont retiree and he drove a bus for a short time.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Betty Freeman; children, Daryl (Charlotte) Freeman, David (Mitzi) Freeman, and Leann Blackwell; grandchildren, Sandee (Adam), Scott (Ashley), Cody Watts, Shay (Cody), Molly (Gavin), and Lille (Troy); great grandchildren, Mason, Ava, and Reagan; sister, Eloise Patterson; and a brother, Robert Freeman.
The family will receive friends at Dallas Bay Baptist Church from 10 -2:30 Thursday, October 10.
Funeral services will follow at 2:30 at the church.
