Helen E. Wilson

Helen Rebecca Eaves Wilson, 93, of Chattanooga passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021. Helen was a native of Chattanooga, born on May 27, 1927. She was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing Dominoes, and spending time with her family. She retired from Cutter Laboratories with 28 years of service. After retirement, she worked for Brach Candy and then for Candy Land. She loved Jesus and her family more than anything else.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas “J.T.” Wilson.

Survivors include her son, John C. Wilson (Mary); daughter, Sonya Rebecca Hergenreder; grandchildren, Nikki Owenby, Chad Owenby (Christy), Matthew Wilson (Sarah), and Katie Mayo (Jeremy); great grandchildren, John and Julia Mayo, Grant and Carter Wilson, and Blake, Haley, and Micaela Owenby; and brother, Eddie Eaves.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 2nd from 11 am to 1 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson. The funeral will follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ken Clark officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

We request that all CDC Covid-19 measures be adhered to, including social distancing and masks, both at the funeral home and cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Oakwood Baptist Church.
