Granny Grace was a longtime Chattanooga area resident. She had worked for DuPont Corporation, Alexian and Northpark Eye Center. Grace was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church and was an accomplished seamstress, gardener and cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A. G. Hobbs, Jr.; a son, Scott Hobbs and seven siblings.
Grace is survived by her children, Sherry Dahrling and Michael Hobbs and wife Cherie; six grandchildren, Candy Lusk, Chip Lusk and wife Joy, Scotty Hobbs and wife Kelly, Stephanie Cagle, Joseph Hobbs and Katie Holtcamp and husband Garth; twelve great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday at the North Chapel.
Services for Granny Grace will follow at 3 p.m. on Sunday with Chaplain C. C. Veazey officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Hobbs’ name to Amedisys Hospice of Chattanooga, 7161 Lee Highway, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
