She was born on June 30, 1935 in Athens, Tennessee. Glenna was a faithful member of White Oak Baptist Church and also worked for Hamilton County Baptist Association. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by parents, Edgar and Sallie Haney; husband, Lewis “Doug” Smith; three brothers and three sisters.
Glenna is survived by her sons, Scott (Ginger) Smith and Tracy (Marilyn) Smith; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Will) Robertson, Katy (Austin) Kennedy, Emma Smith, Allen (Anne) Coffelt and John (Crystal) Coffelt; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Jean (Walt) Hicks, Dot Poole, Faye Byassee, E.W. (Bess) Haney and June (Jim) Durham; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 31st from 3-8 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson. The funeral will be Tuesday, November 1st at11:00 am at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
