Glenda was a member of the North Hixson Church of God. She was a loving wife, mother. Glenda is preceded in death by her parents Bethel and Alice Bates; sister Gaynell and son Mitch Ivey.
Glenda is survived by her husband, Al Ivey; daughter Mitzi Ivey of Chattanooga; sister Faye Smith and brother-in-law Gene Smith; two nieces Rhonda Hinkle and Gina Smith; several nephews including two great nephews Tanner Wright and Garrett Hinkle
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Chattanooga Program in Women’s Oncology, to the nurses of the Outpatient Infusion Center of Memorial Hospital and to Hospice of Chattanooga for their love and care
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday, November 7, 2013, at the North Chapel Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p. m. on Thursday, November 7, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Rick Smith officiating.
Interment will be held at the Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
