She was born in Shellmound, Tennessee, was a longtime resident of Paducah, Kentucky and Chattanooga, Tennessee. Gladys was a retired sales representative with Target at the Northgate Store and on Highway 153, in Hixson, before retiring at the age of 94. She was a member of Abba’s House.
Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, George Mitchell.
Gladys is survived by her daughter, Sheila (Frank) Hilley; grandchildren, Corey (Amanda) Nickols and Ashley (Matt) Johnson; great grandchildren, Kelly Nickols, Palmer and Ruth Ann Johnson.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
Graveside services will be held at 3 pm CST at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah, Kentucky.
