She was preceded in death by her husband James Thurman Newby, son James Terrell Newby, Sr., parents James and Alva Baker, and sisters Ruth Gross and Shirley Hicks.
Left behind to cherish Faye’s memory are her siblings Atha Baker, Flo McDaniels and Jimmy Baker, grandchildren Shelia Newby, Teresa Grant, James Newby Jr., and Lydia Lewis, several great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens on Friday July 22, 2022 at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be held from 1-2 pm at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
