Mrs. Evelyn B Kirby

Mrs. Kirby was born in Clarksdale, Mississippi on March 23, 1918. She came to our city 55 years ago. She served as a volunteer at Memorial Hospital in ICU and X-ray for more than 40 years. She was also a member of the Siskin Auxiliary and she hosted and supported Bible classes in her home for many years.

She and her late husband were avid boaters and held membership in the Chattanooga Yacht Club for 50 years.

She is currently a member of New City Fellowship Church in Chattanooga.

She is survived by her children, Joseph E. Kirby and Kitty K. Bayman, her grandchildren, Robert Kirby, Beth Kirby, Kimberly Soules and Angela Dahrling.

Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 16 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Nabors and the Rev. Jim Pickett officiating. Entombment will be at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
