Elizabeth Ann "Betty" Evans

Betty was born on October 22, 1929 in Nashville TN and resided in Chattanooga for most of her life. She attended St. Luke United Methodist Church. Betty’s most cherished activities were spending time with her family and friends, singing in the choir and china painting.

She earned a Master’s Degree in Education from UTC and taught first grade for almost 30 years at White Oak Elementary School.

She was preceded in death by her parents William H. and Ruth McGowan of Nashville, TN and her sister Pat Evans of Chattanooga, TN.

She is survived by her children Charles (Joni), Bill and Carol, her grandsons Houston (Sarah) and Will, her great granddaughter Addison Claire, her first cousin Gene Paradise and a large extended family of nieces and nephews.

A family graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 25, at 1 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel with Reverend Evelyn Harris officiating.
