Elaine M. Cash, Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at her home following an unyielding battle with cancer. She was a life-long resident of Chattanooga, graduating from Notre Dame High School and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Elaine was preceded in death by her mother and father, Helen L. Mansfield and Harry D. Mansfield, Sr. She is survived by her husband, Wesley W. Cash, III, and her daughter, Aden J. Cash; sisters, Pamela (Mike) Christnacht, Jacksonville, and Gail D. Mansfield, Knoxville; brothers, Harry D. (Lynn) Mansfield, Jr., Chattanooga, and Brian T. (Verna) Mansfield, Knoxville; nieces and nephews, Stephanie, Sean, Jonathan, Trent, Jack, Mary, Peter and Andrew, as well as a number of other close family members and wonderfully faithful friends.
Elaine was loving, giving, creative, spirited and courageous. She cherished time with family and her precious friends. She spoiled every dog that had the good fortune to live under her roof. She painted, planted, played tennis, decorated, entertained, read and gave herself to others unconditionally. But above all things, she was the sweet, graceful mother of a beautiful soul named Aden, who enriched her life immeasurably.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 25, 2019, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home in Hixson. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 2 p.m. at the Baylor School Alumni Chapel with the Rev. Mark Gooden officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a gift may be made to the Little Miss Mag Early Learning Center on Lookout Street in Chattanooga. Littlemissmag.org. The family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. Darrell Johnson and the precious ladies of Avalon Hospice and Joy Home Health.
Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson. Please share your thoughts and memories at www.chattanooganorthchapel.com
