Thinking of Aunt Edie today on the date of her home going.  I know she is spending time with all those who have gone on before. 

I miss her wisdom and thoughtfulness.  As the first Sunday in May comes closer, I remember how much she loved coming to that reunion and seeing family she hadn't seen in a while. 

Prayers for Connie and Bonnie today.


Well, it's been one year since you left this earth, Edith.  We all still miss you so much, but we are rejoicing that you have reunited with Jack, Hazie, E.C. and so many other loved ones.

We celebrate your life on this anniversary and look forward to seeing you again one day.

Mrs. Edith Jackson was the devoted, caring mother of my best friend, Connie Hays Jackson. I have so many fond and wonderful memories of visiting their home on Skylark Trail. Mrs. Jackson was one of the kindest, most hospitable, most gracious souls that I have ever known. She was the epitome of southern hospitality.  Every time I was in her home, she lavished  me with delicious food, snacks, and drinks and was filled with wonderful and thoughtful compliments. She always had true and sincere interest and concern about all that was happening in my life I will always cherish the manyi memories and laughs that were made in her safe comfortable, and charming home. Thank you, Mrs. Jackson, that is, Edith, For sharing your wit, your humor, your laughter, your kindness, and your love with me. You will always hold a bright spot in my heart forever. I miss seeing your sweet face and smile but just know that I love you and one day I will be able to see you and that wonderful smile and sweet face, Forever. Love always, Donna Lou
