Dorothy "Dot" C. Hickman

She was the daughter of the late P.J. Chadwick, Sr., and Esther Zimmers Chadwick and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edwin Hickman, two sons, Ronald Lee Hickman, Kenneth Edwin Hickman, sister, Vivian Cannon and brother, Pete Chadwick.

Dot was a 1943 graduate of Red Bank High School where she excelled in basketball.

She was a devoted wife, loving mother, caring grandparent, and dedicated servant of the Lord. She was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church for 55 years and served as treasurer for 13 years.

Survivors include five grandchildren, John (Jennifer) Hickman, of Chickamauga, GA., Natalie (Bryan) Ainslie, of Harrison, TN., Michele (Brian) Burger, of Harrison, TN., Clint Hickman, of Knoxville, TN., Kenny (Kayla) Hickman, of Harrison, TN., and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday at Lakewood Baptist Church in Harrison, Tennessee with Rev. David Bragg officiating. Entombment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Hixson, Tennessee.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home and from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Monday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga or to the Lakewood Baptist Church Building Fund.
