Dot was born and raised in Chattanooga and was a 1948 graduate of City High School. She was employed with Fowler Brothers, Ethan Allen, Brannon’s and Bassett Furniture. Dot enjoyed a lifetime in the Arts and Crafts Industry. An avid painter, gardener and loving mother, she will be missed by her family. Dot was a former member of Northside Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Clarence Lindsay and his wife Nellie; and son, James Roy Vitatoe.
Dot is survived by her children, Rebecca (Joseph) Pridgen, Scott Vitatoe and Lisa (Denny) Walker; daughter-in-law, Robbie Vitatoe Stone; eight grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:30 pm on Tuesday at the North Chapel, in Hixson.
Services for Dot will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday at the North Chapel with Bishop Joe Pridgen officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist.
