She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Bearden, Jr., her parents, Raymond Athearn and Laura Athearn Lusk, and her sisters, June Hixson and Robbie Farmer.
She is survived by her five children, Karen McColpin, Charles F. Bearden, III (Pam), Raymond Bearden (Niki), Cyndie Bearden (Ted), and Russell Bearden (Tracy), her step-sister, Marilyn Hill, her 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and her 4 beloved cats.
She was a retired seamstress with over 50 years of service, and was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. She enjoyed her time with the Ladies VFW Auxiliary, Eastern Star, and Shriners Highland Ladies. She also loved spending time with her family, traveling, and playing canasta with her friends.
Her family would like to thank all of the caregivers for all of the loving care they extended to her.
Funeral services will be held at the Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home and are scheduled for Tuesday, January 15 at 2:30 p.m with Pastor Ted Painter officiating . Family will accept visitors on Monday, January 14 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m.
