David Allen Ritch, 57, passed away in a local health care facility under Hospice care on Wednesday, August 05, 2015, after a lengthy battle with liver disease traced by medical research to massive infectious blood transfusions in ICU for weeks in the 1980’s before blood was tested for the deadly Hepatitis C. virus.
Born in Marietta, GA, he lived most of his life with his family in the Chattanooga Metro area, more recently in Ringgold, GA.
He is survived by his parents, Dr. & Mrs. Paul A Ritch; brother, Dennis Paul Ritch; and siblings, Barbara, Sherman, Trena and Gary.
The family expresses deep gratitude to the doctors and medical staff of Hospice and NHC who provided palliative care during the excruciating pain associated with end stage liver disease.
There was no visitation and no service. Graveside service was private with the family only, and his Dad officiating.
