Mr. David E. Massengale, 92, of Hixson, TN, moved from his earthly residence to his heavenly home on Thursday, January 4, 2018. David was a native of Chattanooga, born on January 26, 1925 to parents, James and Bell Massengale. He was a proud WW II Veteran in the U.S. Army and a member of American legion Post 159. He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Marjorie Massengale; daughter, Gloria Hall (Garry); grandchildren, Ginger Mages (Roy) and Garrick Hall (Mary Pat); great grandchildren, Drew Lewis, Luke Lewis, Gabriel Hall, Emily Mages, and David Mages; and brother, Charles Massengale (Jean). The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 6th from 5-8 PM and Sunday, January 7th from 1-2 PM at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson. Funeral services will be on Sunday, January 7th at Chattanooga Funeral Home at 2:00 PM with Pastor Darrell Davenport officiating. Committal service with military honors will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Senior Adult Ministries at Stuart Heights Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
