Darrell was born in Chattanooga and graduated from Hixson High School in 1975. He was a maintence supervisor at Northgate Mall and many other malls across the country. He completed his career as a maintence supervisor with Chattanooga State Community Technical College. Darrell was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church/Abba’s House. He loved helping his father in organizing and planning the block parties for the R.A. Sharp Living Hope Ministry.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Sharp; grandparents, John and Bonnie Churchill Woody, William Henry and Clara Mae Sharp.
Darrell is survived by his parents, Mildred and R. A. Sharp; sisters, Kim Nolen and Darlene (Steven) Faucette; son, Justin (Marilyn) Sharp; granddaughters, Emma and Malia many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 pm on Friday, February 19, and 12 to 2 pm on Saturday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Darrell’s Life will follow at 2 pm on Saturday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
