Cliff was of the Church of Christ faith. He graduated and received his Associates degree from Abilene Christian College where he graduated as Valedictorian. Cliff furthered his education and went on to receive his Bachelor Degree in Mathematics from York University. Cliff was employed with and retired from UNUM where he worked in their IT department. He also worked at 3M and at Siskin.
Cliff by nature was a simple man, but he did enjoy a few hobbies which included calligraphy and photography. He was also an animal lover.
He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Yeager and parents, Malcolm and Mildred Yeager.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Shirley Yeager, children, Kelly Hodge; Tony Chandler (Tena); Karen Tolbert (Tony) and Rick Chandler, grandchildren, Todd; Travis; Josh; Kasey; Katie; and Isaac, great-great-grandchildren, Jackson and Emma Kate, sisters, Carol Brinkhoff and Donna Koehn, and his special pets, Luna; Sugar; and Buddy.
A Celebration of Cliff’s Life will be held in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Tuesday March 21, 2023 at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. He will be laid to rest in the Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Pet Placement Center, 5975 Dayton Blvd, Chattanooga, TN 37415.
Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
