Carol Hall Pearson, beloved mother, grandmother, and mentor, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2024, at the age of 78. Born in Brockton, Massachusetts, Carol spent her life dedicated to serving her community and nurturing those around her.
Carol is survived by her loving daughter, Jamie Hall Bailey, and son-in-law, Tony Bailey, her goddaughter Andrea Potts Gibbs, niece Laurie (Mick) Lovely and children Jonathan, Mary Camille, Julia and Anna. Her nephew Michael (Cara) Pruitt and girls Caroline Pruitt Irons and Lucy Pruitt. She leaves behind a legacy through her grandson Michael Gibbs, great-grandsons Caiden Reed, Mason Bailey, Bryson Dawson and one cherished granddaughter Kenlee Gibbs.
Carol also leaves behind newly discovered brother Robert (Georgia) Gold and sister Nancy (Walter) Merlington both of Cape Cod, MA.
Carol is reunited with her beloved husband, sister and father in heaven now.
Throughout her life, Carol made a profound impact on the lives of many as an educator and mentor. She devoted 33 years to the Hamilton County School System, where she inspired countless students with her passion for learning. Additionally, for 30 years, she worked at the Harrison Recreation Ballfield concession stand, where she touched the hearts of children and adults alike. Carol's generosity knew no bounds, as she made it a tradition to give every baby their first lollie!
Her dedication to mentoring extended beyond the classroom, as she instilled valuable life skills in those she encountered. Through the concession stand, she taught countless individuals the importance of responsibility, financial literacy, and meaningful human interaction.
Carol's impact reached far and wide, touching the lives of numerous friends who will forever cherish her memory. While their names are too many to list, their presence in her life brought her immeasurable joy and comfort.
A FUNeral service, as Carol fondly referred to it, will be held at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, on Saturday February 17, at 3:30 PM honoring her life and legacy. Pastor Travis Rodgers will officiate the service. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Tony and Jamie extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their unwavering support and prayers during this difficult time.
Carol Hall Pearson will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
