Mr. Keats was born in Youngstown, PA. He earned his Education and Law Degrees from the University of Buffalo where he played football for the famous 1958 team that was just inducted into the Hall of Fame. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church, a former US Marine and retired from Arcadia after a long career in Human Resources. He was an avid golfer and long-time member of Valleybrook Golf and Country Club and loved spending time with his grandchildren, especially at the pool.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Keats; and brothers, Steve and John Keates.
Surviving are his children, Suzanne (Dan) Foster of Signal Mountain, Tony (Jennifer Justus) Keats of Nashville and Gretchen (Mark Warchoski) Tobol of Buffalo, NY; step-children, Wendy Elliott and Dena (Steve) Brown; 11 grandchildren; and sisters, Leona Eckard and Linda (David) Wilson.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at the funeral home. A graveside service will follow at 11 AM at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Rev. Wayland Stewart officiating.
