Billie M. Vickers, 85, of Chattanooga went to be with her Lord Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at her home with her family by her side. She was born April 29, 1938 in Chattanooga to the late T.J. and Hazel Burns. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Edgar Vickers; son, Mark Vickers; siblings, Gilbert Burns, Bobbie Burns, Clara Burns, Kenny Burns, Betty Gayton, Vivian Bray, and Eddie Burns; and a nephew, Joey Leming.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who cared deeply for her family. She enjoyed working in the flowers around her house.
Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly (Allan) Gayler; grandson, Ethan (Sage) Gayler; great grandson, Levi Gayler; siblings, Frances (Harold) Bowman, Patricia (Perry) Chauncey, Gail (Kevin) Wagner, Tommy Burns and Dennis Burns; sisters-in-law, Donna Burns and Lura Green and a brother-in-law, Culley Frizzell. As well as many nieces and nephews, she loved dearly.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 on Thursday, October 19 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 1:00 Friday, October 20 at the North Chapel. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
