Ms. Betty Sue Jones

She retired as a Registered Nurse from the Tennessee Valley Authority Nuclear Power Division.

She was a wonderful, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many, many people, and she will be greatly missed. She loved to Ballroom Dance and sing with her Sweet Adaline group. She was a long-time member of Hixson United Methodist Church. Of all her accomplishments, the most important one was spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Bud Payne, son, Glenn Jones, granddaughter, Sarah Jones. Her survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Pam Jones, six grandchildren, Missi (Jody) Shelton, Gracey Dones, Matthew Jones, Meghan (Will) Tholken, Michael Jones, Mitchell Jones and eight great grandchildren, Zoe McGlamery, Kaylee Cook, Noah Simerley, Jessie Shelton, Austin Shelton, Maddie Shelton, Cheyenne Hutcheson, and Edward Tholken.

The family would like to give a special thanks to everyone at Hospice of Chattanooga and BrightStar Care for all the special love and care that was given to Sue and her family.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 3:30pm at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Reverend Reed Shell officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 1:30 – 3:30.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37416.
