She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Charles E. (Chuck) Davis, father E. Earl Deakins, mothers Mary Harrison Deakins and Ruby Brimer Deakins, brothers Herman R. Deakins and Horace E. Deakins, and sister Maxine Deakins.
She is survived by her God Sons Kent Davis and family, Carlton Davis and family, and God Daughter Suzie Cintron and family, along with several nieces and nephews. Much appreciation goes to Suzie Cintron, Gay Singleton, and Sherrie McDaniel for their special caretaking of Anne over the years.
Anne was a long time member of Falling Water Baptist Church and the Gleaners Sunday School class. She graduated from Red Bank High School, and retired from both Railway Express Company and Tennessee Valley Authority. She loved RVing, traveling, playing canasta with friends, and bowling. She was a member of the REA Bowling League for about 50 years.
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 18, 2020 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel on Highway 153 in Hixson, Tennessee with the service taking place at 1:00pm in the chapel with Brother Tommy Taylor officiating. Music will be provided by Elaine Jackson and Mike Wilson. The graveside service will immediately follow. Pallbearers include Mat Turner, Ronnie McDaniel, Kito Cintron, Mike Wilson, John Norris, and Ronnie Davis.
We respectfully request that "social distancing", wearing masks, and all CDC measures be adhered to at the funeral home and cemetery.
