Allen K. Jennings, 83, of Signal Mountain, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2020. Allen was born in Savannah, GA on November 18, 1936 and grew up in Moultrie, GA. He graduated from Mercer University where he was an active alumnus and former president of Kappa Sigma. Allen served in the U.S. Army, as a 1st Lieutenant, stationed at Ft Benning. He was the owner of and financial consultant at Professional Management, providing financial consulting for doctors and dentists. He was a member of Signal Mountain Baptist Church (currently, The Point Church) for 50 years, where he was an active deacon and Sunday school teacher for many years. He enjoyed traveling, both domestically and abroad.
Allen was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Patterson Jennings; parents, Abner and Lorraine Jennings; brother, Garrett Jennings; and step-son, Hayes Forsten. Survivors include his wife, Ginger Forsten Jennings; daughter, Dawn Jennings Carlton (Pete); daughter, Julie Jennings Dyer (David); step-children, Michelle Holloway and Stephen Forsten; grandchildren, Cody P. Carlton (Lindsey) and Katherine Paige Dyer; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at Hamilton Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, August 19th at 10 am.
