Alexandra Christina Saldana, 16, died following an automobile accident in Lakeland, Florida, on Sunday, August 9, 2020. She was born in Nashville, afterwards living in Chattanooga until 2018, at which time she moved to Lakeland. Alex attended Normal Park Upper School then Santa Fe Catholic High School in Lakeland.
Alexandra is survived by her parents, Kimberly Saldana, Chattanooga, Tennessee and Tito Carlo Saldana MD (Jennifer) of Lakeland, Florida, a sister, Giavana Saldana, and step sisters, Sarah and Rachel Griffith, all of Lakeland, grandmother, Fanny Jordan, aunts, Mechy Saldana and Mery Saldana, all of the Dominican Republic, uncle, Christopher Gomez (Michelle), an aunt, Christina Crackel, a cousin, Aaron Crackel, extended family members, Joshua Hobbs, Alayna and Brianna Hobbs and Catherine Canonico (KiKi), all of Chattanooga.
Alex was a beautiful, intelligent, and caring young lady. She loved spending time with family and friends, enjoyed the beach, swimming, and painting, she was passionate about music, dance, and the theater.
We know Alex is safe and happy in the arms of a loving God, but we will love and miss her until we are together again.
There will be a memorial service for family and friends on Saturday, Aug. 22, at 2 p.m. at the Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343 (adjacent to Hamilton Memorial Gardens). Reverend Don Hanson will conduct the service.
