Beloved husband of Linda for 31 years. Loving father of Michael Harter (Ashley) , Dorene Gonzalez-Perez, Christopher (Rachel) Thornton and Michelle Toy. Proud grandfather of Isabelle, Lola, Miguel, Nadia, Landon, Wyatt, Travis, Kathleen and one great-granddaughter. Brother of Alice Jo (Jim) Martin, Judy (Marlan) Fedraw, Beth (Marc) Pletcher and Jan Praedel.
Mr. Harter was a proud Vietnam Navy Veteran who served with the Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 11 also known as the Seabee Battalion. He was a retired telephone technician and a member of the VFW Post 9914 in Highland. He was an avid ham radio enthusiast and will always be remembered by his call sign "N8NKF". He played the harmonica and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He will be very much missed by all.
Funeral Services along with Military Honors will be held at 3:00pm on Friday, November 29, 2024 at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Road. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12:00pm until the time of the service at 3:00pm.
