Born on May 7, 1956, in Livonia, Michigan, Mike dedicated his life to hard work and providing for his family. He had a long career as a sheet metal worker and was known for his strong work ethic and reliability in his field.
Beyond his career, Mike found joy in simple pleasures. He loved hunting and working on his property up north, and being at the lake—places where he could relax and enjoy the outdoors. When he wasn't outdoors, he enjoyed working and tinkering in the garage, which is where you could find him most of the time.
Mike also loved his family and friends. He was a devoted father who took great care of his two sons when he found himself raising them on his own in the later part of their childhoods. His dedication to his children was unwavering, and he worked tirelessly to ensure they had everything they needed. He loved spending time with his extended family at the family cottage in Commerce, where he spent countless hours being around the friends and family he loved.
He is survived by his children, Steven, Tom, and Chrissy; his granddaughter Chelsea; his siblings Julie, Janet, and Mark. He was predeceased by his parents, Dave and Lois, as well as Sharon, the mother of his children.
Mike’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May he rest in peace.
