Leonard John Nowak of Highland, passed away February 19, 2016 at 93 years of age. Loving husband of the late Angela. Beloved father of Bonnie (Tom) Myers, Rick (Kathy) Nowak, Terry (Ken) Gebauer, Ken (Mary) Nowak, Sandra (Trevor) Royston and Julie (Gary) Hilligoss. Loving grandfather of 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild on the way. Brother of Jack Nowak, John (Cozette) Nowak and Joe (Elizabeth) Nowak. Brother-in-law of Lucy (Al) Rozanski.
Mr. Nowak was a member of the VFW and The American Legion post in Harrison, Michigan. He was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran and was proud to have landed in Normandy. He will be dearly missed by all.
Cremation has taken place and a FAMILY ONLY private memorial service will be held at a later date. Mr. Nowak will be laid to rest with his wife at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly,Michigan.
