Beloved wife of the late Bud (Harlan) Holt. Loving mother of Krys (Bob) Magid and Jon (Kim) Holt. Proud grandmother of Jennah Magid, Lindsay Magid, Eric Magid, Kendra (Seth) Verkaik, Chloe Holt, and great-grandmother of Kieran Verkaik. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other loving extended family.
Kaye was a long-time resident of Canadian Lakes, Michigan, where she shared many fun-filled hours with friends and family. Family was EVERYTHING to Kaye. A few years ago, both she and Bud began facing some health challenges, so they made the decision to move back downstate, to be near the kids and grandkids for extra support. Kaye was a retired elementary school teacher who taught at Van Dyke Public Schools and St. Lawrence Catholic School in Utica. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Canadian Lakes, the Canadian Lakes Classic Car Cruisers and The Red Hat Society. In her spare time, she enjoyed volunteering for events around Canadian Lakes, playing cards, crafting, painting, scrapbooking & card making, baking and camping. Most of all, she loved to go to the casino and enjoyed her many visits to Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt. Pleasant, Fire Keepers in Battle Creek, MGM Grand in Detroit...you get the picture! She flourished when she was 'doing her social butterfly thing' at events and was always happy to put your comfort above her own without giving it a second thought.
This sweet, thoughtful woman/wife/mom/nannie/aunt/friend will be greatly missed by all.
