Karon Kay Carrel

Beloved wife of the late James. Dear mother of James P. (Donna Mae) Carrel, Jr. and Kristie C. (Matthew) Moran. Proud grandmother of James P. (Lori) Carrel, III, Ryan M. Moran, Jordan A. (Rachel) Moran, Shantae Mahan and Allen Freeby. Great-grandmother of Kaidence Carrel, Maddison Carrel, Charlotte Watson, Sophia Freeby and Isabelle Freeby. She is survived by many niece and nephews.

She was a kind and loving soul with a huge generous heart. She loved her family so very well. In her younger years, she played the accordian. She loved growing roses and especially loved to dance. She was a devoted wife and an amazing mother and grandmother. She will be truly missed by every life she touched.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00pm on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Road in Highland. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 from 2:00pm until 7:00pm. Mrs. Carrel will then be reunited with her beloved husband James at 2:00pm at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
