Janice Hewitt, age 72, of Highland; passed away on August 27, 2010. Mrs. Hewitt was a caring and devoted wife and mother. She will be sadly missed. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Hewitt who preceded her in death on October 23, 2001; proud mother of Thom Hewitt, Colleen (Tom) MacLeod, Linda (the late Kevin) Hoyt, Todd (Josie) Hewitt; caring grandmother of Lauren, Ryan, Rachel, Ashley, Morgan, Kadin. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, August 29, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Road, Highland. The visitation hours will be Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. Cremation will follow; In lieu of flowers, memorials will be available at the funeral home for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society-Michigan Chapter, Inc.
