Dr. James A. Masty DDS, MS. Born June 6, 1928, passed away Friday November 22, 2013 in Hartland, MI. Loving husband of Evelyn (Blum), they married in 1954. Proud father of Lee (Julie), Glenn, Khai Mahala (Diana), and Kelly Melby. Grandfather of Katlyn (Dan), Kayli, Christopher, and Jensen. Great grandfather of Summer. Beloved brother of Dr. Stephen (Ellen). James was an eagle scout in 1942, troop 175. A graduate of the University of Michigan (1950, 1954, 1968), president of Delta Sigma Delta. U.S.A.F. Captain (dental corps). James practiced dentistry in Dearborn, and later practiced orthodontics in Grosse Pointe, and Romeo. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 27, at 11:00 a.m. (10:00 a.m. instate) at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home.
