Alexandra "Bonnie" Husak

Alexandra "Bonnie" Husak, age 76, of White Lake, died Sunday, June 13, 2021, at Medilodge of Milford. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Michael Husak; her three children: Donna Raschke, Daniel Finkbeiner, and Charles Finkbeiner; her six grandchildren: Ashley (Nick), Timothy, Emma, Spencer, Daniel, and Alexis; her brother-in-law, Phil Husak; her sister-in-law, Judy Husak; her honorary grandson, Sean; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends. Alexandra also has a great-grandchild on the way!

Alexandra was born September 10, 1944, in Hamtramck, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Alexander and Edna Harris. She and Michael Husak have been happily married for many years. Alexandra worked as an advertising sales representative for a variety of companies in the metro Detroit area for twenty years until her retirement in 2010. In her free time, she could be found working in her garden, knitting, drawing, or playing the piano. However, most of all, Alexandra loved to spend time with her family and close friends; especially her grandchildren! She was a wonderful woman who will be missed by many.

Alexandra was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Edna; her sister, Elsie Phelps; her son-in-law, Joseph Raschke; and John Shimmin, who became like a son to her over the past four years.

A funeral service will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Road, Highland, 48356. Alexandra’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am.
