William A. Artus

Beloved father of Katie (Joris) Nefs, David Artus, and Daniel Artus. Cherished friend to Linda Hart. Loving ex-husband to Lillian (Larry) McClellan. Adoring grandfather to Bradley, Sydney, Kevin, and Alex. Devoted bonus dad, brother, uncle, and friend to many. Lifetime member of Lansing American Legion, Lansing Copper Muggers, and Munster Lion's Club.

Preceded in death by parents, Elmer (Bill) and Violet Artus, and brother, Robbie.

William was born October 3, 1949 near Pill Hill Chicago, IL and was a graduate of Bowen High School in Chicago, IL. Bill enjoyed traveling, fishing, cooking, and spending time with his family and friends. He was loved by all who knew him and will be missed by many.

A Celebration of Life for William will be held Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the American Legion, 18255 Grant Street, Lansing, IL 60438. Burial will be held on January 3, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN. Procession will begin from Chapel Lawn Funeral Home entrance. Flowers may be delivered to the American Legion on Saturday, December 28, 2024.
