Vincent S Fleszewski Jr.

Vincent Stanley Fleszewski Jr., age 79, of St. John, IN passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015. He is survived by his two children: Patricia (Michael Jr.) Novosel of Chicago, IL and Vincent (Leigh) Fleszewski III of Crown Point, IN; eight grandchildren: Sarah Min, Lillian YuPing, Elizabeth, Catherine, Sophie, Julia, Grace and Emma. Vincent was preceded in death by his wife, Wallis Patricia Fleszewski. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 a.m. at St. James the Less Catholic Church, 9640 Kennedy Ave., Highland, IN with Rev. Keith Virus officiating. Interment will be held at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family Wednesday, April 22, 2015 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. (4:00 p.m. wake service) at Kuiper Funeral Home. Mr. Fleszewski was a member of St. James the Less Catholic Church. He retired from the I.B.E.W. Local #9 and was formerly employed at U.S. Steel for 19 years. Vincent was a veteran of the U.S. Army third Infantry Division during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion. He was also a member of the Griffith Barnstormers R.C. Airplane Club. He enjoyed Lionel Trains. His favorite destinations were Pearl Harbor and Punch Bowl in Hawaii and Niagra Falls in New York.
