Robert E. Schroeder

Bob was born on June 3, 1942 to the late Robert F. and Dorothy M. (nee Rickman) Schroeder. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Shortly after his service, he met the love of his life, Carol Ann Gloyeske. They got married on June 26, 1971 and shared 53 beautiful years together. He worked over 20 years at Hoosier Boys Town in Schererville, IN. Bob spent many summers with family and friends at their campsite, fishing, boating, and swimming. He was an avid NASCAR enthusiast and enjoyed watching the Indianapolis Colts.

Bob is survived by his loving wife, Carol Schroeder; his son, Kevin (Becky) Schroeder; his grandson, Tyler Schroeder; his step-son, Larry Nevills; and many cousins and friends.

A visitation for Bob will be held Friday, April 25, 2025, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland, IN 46322. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 101 West Burrell Drive, Crown Point, IN 46307. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
