PATRICIA J. SNYDER HIGHLAND, IN Patricia J. Snyder (nee Menke), age 82, of Highland, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2011. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ben; daughter, Debra (Herman) Hammonds of LaPorte; two grandchildren: Kimberly (Tom) Spencer of New Carlisle and Sandra (Mat) Ernst of South Bend; five great grandchildren: Clayton, Jessica, Brooklyn, Griffin, and Emily; brother Robert (late LaVirda) Menke of Vincennes; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Snyder was preceded in death by her parents: Edward and Florence Menke. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road), Highland with Randy Harrison, Minister, officiating. Interment will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Mrs. Snyder loved bowling, and was an avid sports fan. She especially liked the White Sox. Patricia was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her loving memory to the American Heart Association .
