Leslie "Bud" Forster, age 88, of Highland passed away December 31, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Betty; one son, Daniel Forster of Highland; two daughters: Patricia (Brian) Quinn of TX and Lynore (Tom) Mathis of Wheatfield, IN; seven grandchildren: Michael (Angela -Jez) Forster, Michele and Mark Forster, Nathan and Amy Quinn, Brooke and Mitchell Mathis; great grandbaby, Forster; two sisters: Arlene (Raymond) Satterblom of Indianapolis and Doris Tamminga of IL; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Lake Hills Baptist Church with Rev. Phil Humber officiating. Interment Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Schererville. Friends are invited to meet with the family Tuesday from 2:00- 7:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 KLeinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road), Highland, IN. Mr. Forster was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Lake Hills Baptist Church in Schererville. He was retired from Bud's Shoe Repair, co-founder of Thrifty Kleen in Highland, and formerly employed at Sinclair Oil.
