John Richard Fraley

John R. Fraley, age 80, of Gary, IN passed away May 20, 2014. He is survived by daughter Sandra (Dale) Lessentine of Wheatfield, IN; two grandsons: Eric( Debby) Lessentine of Romeoville, Il, Jeffery (Stephanie) Lessentine of Las Vegas, NV. He greatly loved his five great-grandchildren Bradley, Justin, Eden, Tru, and Paxton; John was preceded in death by his wife Doris, one sister Beverly Passine, and one brother Jim. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 10 am at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd ( two blocks south of Ridge Rd) Highland, In with Pastor Jerold Raebal officiating, cremation to follow. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 3 to 8 pm at the funeral home. John was retired from Inland Steel with forty years of service, he was an avid fisherman, all his life he loved to camp with is family, he also enjoyed hunting, he was a member of Waterfowl USA, friends of the NRA, John was happiest when surrounded by his family, he will be greatly missed and will be missed by the many friends he made over the years. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Special Olympics or the USA Shooting Team.
