James A. Cummins, Age 80, passed away on December 21, 2024, at Munster Community Hospital. He is survived by his lovely wife Ruth (Marsh) Cummins, son Barry (Elise) Cummins, son-in-law Royce Brown. Grandchildren, Devon (Fiancé Lindee) Brown, Dillon (Nicole) Brown, Alexander (Samantha) Cummins, Samantha (Alexander) Doppler, Annabelle Brown, Andrew Cummins, and Anthony Cummins. Greatgrandchildren, Ava Brown, Cooper Cummins, Ryder Brown, Oliver Cummins, Violet Doppler, Brantley Doppler, Liam Cummins, and Nova Brown.
He is proceeded in death by his daughter Christine Brown, Brother Michael Cummins, Sisters, Marie (Howard) George, and Sharon (Hans) Kroll.
Also survived by Brothers Rex (Sandra) Cummins, Bill Cummins, and Sisters, Myra (Kent) Taylor, Joann (Randy) Steuer, Brenda Shaffer, and Marie (Ralph) Hernandez. As well as many in laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Jim was born to Rex and Nellie (Rans) Cummins. Was a proud graduate of the Lowell Class of 1962. Proudly served in the United States Army and was married to Ruth for over 57 years. Jim loved the outdoors and spending time with nature as well as all his friends and family at the Lowell VFW. He was well known for his “rubber leg” dancing and really knew how to cut a rug! He was a successful owner and retired electrician from his own business “Cummins Electrical” as well as retired from Reiter Automotive, Teamsters 142.
Per Jim’s wishes there will be no funeral services.
