Jackie Dykstra

Jackie Dykstra, age 82, of Highland, IN entered heaven January 16, 2015. Survived by her husband of 62 years, Donald Dykstra; and children: Richard (Linda) Dykstra, Valerie (David) McWilliams, David (Ruth) Dykstra, Diane (Brian) Ebbers; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Jackie is also survived by two brothers: Edward (the late Ann) De Boer, Elmer (Tini) De Boer; two sisters: Tena (Richard) Poortinga, Betty (the late Marvin) Dykstra; sister-in-law, Alice De Boer; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents: Art and Julia De Boer; and brother, Andrew De Boer. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Monday January 19, 2015 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home 9039 Kleinman Rd (two blocks south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN. Private family burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lansing, IL. A memorial service will be held Tuesday January 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor John Kostelyk officiating at Hammond Christian Reformed Church. Jackie was a homemaker who loved children. She cared for several children in her home and in the children's ministry at her church.Jackie was a longtime member of Hammond Christian Reformed Church. She had a firm faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
