Harvey Ray Trousdale

Ray is the loving husband for 48 years to Dimple Trousdale; beloved father to Louise (Mike) Berry, Diane (the late John) Steapleton, Lisa Denton, Kevin Holloway, Anthony Holloway, the late Greg Trousdale, the late Linda Hemphill and the late David Trousdale; proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren; great-grandfather to 21; and great-great grandfather to 6; cherished brother to Shirley Kimbrough (Mike); and fond uncle to Sherree, Renee, and Buba. He was preceded in death by granddaughters, Christina Wells and Tasha Wilson.

Ray retired as a mechanic at Dolton Glass in Dolton, IL after over 30 years of service. He and his family are faithful members of Ross Baptist Church of Gary. Ray was an avid deer hunter with his many friends. He loved to fish and camp on the St. Joseph River in Benton Harbor with his friends. Ray enjoyed gardening in his vegetable garden and sharing his crop with his family and friends. Ray loved and enjoyed his large, extended family, but also enjoyed individual time he had with people.

Visitation will be Friday, June 14, 2024 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland, IN 46322, and again at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 15, 2024 until the time of his Funeral at 11:00 am at Ross Baptist Church, 4790 Noble Street, Gary, IN 46408. He will be laid to rest at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
