Franklin Porter passed away at home Tuesday, October 24th, 2017 with family by his side. He is survived by wife of 56 years, Penny (Griffin), children: Robin Huffman, Vicki (Tom) Crowel, Brianna and Brayden Porter. Grandchildren, Nichole (Aaron) Barnes, Nicholas Huffman, Tommy and Jonny Crowel. Sisters Alice Davis, Margaret Davis, and brother Gale (Nancy) Porter. Great grandchildren Madalyn and Sawyer Barnes and numerous nieces and nephews. Frank retired as an electrician of over 30+ years at the steel mills starting his career at Youngstown. He was a veteran of the Navy and will have a private graveside military funeral. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN.
