Eugene Troksa

Eugene Troksa, age 72, of Hammond, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Anne; three daughters: Laura (Rodger) Chenore of WI, Michelle (Nelson) Croasdaile of TX, and Kelly (Paul) Albertsen of IL; grandchildren: Chelsie, Stone, Brody, Ranger, Remi, Morgan, and Bradley; one brother, George (Kathy) Troksa of Griffith; sisters: Rosemary (Mario) Martini of Highland, Dorothy (John) Van Doren and Cynthia (Allen) Kodicak both of CA; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 25, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. DIRECTLY at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 7132 Arizona Ave, Hammond, Indiana, with Rev. Charles Mosley and Rev. Stephen Kosinski officiating. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, Illinois. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, March 24, 2011 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road), Highland, Indiana. Eugene was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. He was a retired Captain from the Hammond Fire Department after 32 years, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and a member of American Legion Post 369 of East Chicago (who will post colors Thursday at 7:00 p.m.).
