Eugene Kendrick

Eugene "Gene" Kendrick, age 82, of Highland, IN passed away Saturday, October 6, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by four children: Gary (Diane) Kendrick of Washington, IN, Ric Kendrick of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Jim Kendrick of Highland, IN and Cheryl (Don) Jones of Schererville, IN; three grandchildren: Eric, Jordan and Nicole; two sisters: Janice Kendrick of Chicago, IL and Nancy (Norb) Glowacki of Calumet City, IL; several nieces and nephews; and beloved dog, Heidi. Preceded in death by wife, Virginia "Jean" Kendrick; and parents: Chester and Julia Kendrick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. DIRECTLY at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 3025 Highway Ave., Highland, IN with Rev. Edward Moszur officiating. Interment will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family Friday, October 12, 2012 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN. Mr. Kendrick was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church of Highland. He retired from Viking Steel in Elk Grove Village, IL and was formerly employed at Plaza Lanes in Highland.
